Day 1 in Africa!

We are safely on African soil. Here's highlights:

- Chloe, Becky & Michael survived their first plane flights and our long flight from New York to Accra, Ghanna arrived at 8:30 AM (4:30 EST)

- We discovered we actually could get transit visas and visit Accra rather than sit in the airport for 12 hrs and we worked out some issues that we had with our checked baggage.

- Played a 1.5 hr. game of hide and seek with Linda... we eventually did find her... but we were beginning to wonder!

- With the help of a local official, James, a security guard, Venance, and our driver Emmanuel, the 17 of us were able to hit the town in a hot van made to carry 14 passengers

- We saw the Presidential Palace, the city square, the Atlantic Ocean, and other landmarks

- We went to some open air markets and felt like rock stars with people flocking to us... only these were our fans only if we'd buy their variety of goods.
We also had the opportunity to share the Gospel and give "Answer" tracts with many of the people we met while out and about!

- We we ate at a place called "Country Kitchen" (just not the "country" we know) and some were actually brave enough to eat the local cuisine.

- Now we sit in the Accra airport waiting to depart for Kenya. We should arrive there at 5:30 AM (or 10:30 PM EST).

PLEASE PRAY FOR US. We're all very tired from the plane rides and our busy day today. Pray that Saturday would be a day to refuel and rest up. Thanks. We miss you all!
